A International Summer School on Latency Control for Internet of Services took place in Karlstad (Sweden) from the 26th to the 30th of June 2017.
The summer school schedule comprised frontal lectures, tutorials and hands-on sessions in Lab Rooms, in order to provide the students with an introduction to a variety of hot topics in this field and allow the students to gain concrete experience with selected methodologies and programming technologies.
Several distinguished international renowned guest lecturers came together, to discuss about topics including software defined networks, network function virtualization, micro services architecture, deployment approaches, insights on emerging data plane programming technologies and underlying HW architectures, network programming languages, network optimisation, big data stream processing, content delivery networks and latency management and control aspects.
Our partner member Professor Holger Karl, from University of Paderborn, was one of these invited lecturers. His presentation, Distributed applications: A challenge for systems, networks, and application development, is available in the "Project Outcomes" section if you like to have a look at it.
